Welcome to Shanqa‘s space! A place to connect with your inner harmony and open up your soul.

A place for your body, your mind & your soul

A place dedicated to inspiration and creativity

You’re interested in learning how to draw, to sing, to paint? You are looking for yoga session, meditation, reiki or a way to reconnect with your inner peace? We have everything you need! Shanqa organises events, sessions and workshops to promote art and spiritual practices. Have a look into the calendar below and subscribe to our newsletter to be informed about our offers.
Shanqa’s mission is to promote spiritual art & artists whose works open our heart and mind and radiate their power of wonder and harmonization. Our space is a way to fulfil this mission: welcoming artists, opening a place for them to deepen their connection to their own creativity, supporting them in this process according to their needs and at their request, organising events opened to public (concert, exhibition, festival, workshops), on the venue itself or outside. A space to isolate oneself, to find (back) oneself, to grow. A place to expand the power of Art to connect to the true Nature of our Being and with harmony, serenity and joy.

Sound and Vision: Experience the Virtual Reality of Japan @ Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, University of Cambridge, ground floor
Mar 11 @ 12:00 – 17:00
Sound and Vision: Experience the Virtual Reality of Japan @ Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, University of Cambridge, ground floor | Cambridge | United Kingdom

The use of sound throughout Japanese culture is deeply attuned to its fundamental character as something that is able to permeate the whole of the human body through vibration, and thus can be instrumental in creating a profound feeling of unity with the world around us. This attitude manifests itself through particular attention being paid to the texture of sound, which correspondingly leads to a heightened awareness of the practice of listening. Ultimately it is this insight about the importance of listening that “Japan Sound Portrait” project wishes to share.

With this “Vision and sound” event, participants will be able to visit a series of Japanese landscapes whilst immersed in ambient sounds. The landscapes include the Okunoin Cemetery on Mount Koya, a garden in Kyoto, the entrance to Takeshita Street in Tokyo and a Tokyo alley.

Taking place each year in March, Art Dubai has become a cornerstone of the region’s fast-growing contemporary arts community. Around 90 galleries from the UAE and around the world present artworks across three programmes: Contemporary; Modern, devoted to masters from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia; and Marker, a curated section of artspaces that focuses each year on a particular theme or geography. Art Dubai places an emphasis on maintaining its intimate, human scale while foregrounding quality and diversity.

Brought by Gadeemadis Art Gallery and held at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi’s first Islamic Art Forum celebrates the unseen beauty of Islamic calligraphy and culture by featuring innovative artists from the Arab and Islamic world. Hassan Massoudy is one of them.
The preview exhibition focuses on Islamic works and themes never seen before in the Middle East or beyond. Abu Dhabi’s first Islamic Art Forum ultimately offers a platform for contemporary artists as well as legends to share their artistic tales and inspirational messages.

This Forum is a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of Arab culture and art.

This preview in March will be followed by a full schedule of exhibitions and events in November 2016.
