Shanqa’s mission is to promote spiritual art & artists whose works open our heart and mind and radiate their power of wonder and harmonization. Our space is a way to fulfil this mission: welcoming artists, opening a place for them to deepen their connection to their own creativity, supporting them in this process according to their needs and at their request, organising events opened to public (concert, exhibition, festival, workshops), on the venue itself or outside. A space to isolate oneself, to find (back) oneself, to grow. A place to expand the power of Art to connect to the true Nature of our Being and with harmony, serenity and joy.
Hassan Massoudy is part of the Neward Museum exhibition “Wondrous Worlds: Art & Islam Through Time and Place”. The exhibition showcases 1,400 years of artistry including works from Southeast Asia and East and West Africa – areas largely overlooked in most exhibitions of Islamic art – as well as modern and contemporary works. It reflects aspects of Muslim culture and everyday life across the world and throughout history. All media, from carpets to dress to jewelry, ceramics, glass, metal, paintings, prints, calligraphy and photographs, are covered.
Hassan Massoudy’s calligraphies are amongst the 100 featured works of art.

The use of sound throughout Japanese culture is deeply attuned to its fundamental character as something that is able to permeate the whole of the human body through vibration, and thus can be instrumental in creating a profound feeling of unity with the world around us. This attitude manifests itself through particular attention being paid to the texture of sound, which correspondingly leads to a heightened awareness of the practice of listening. Ultimately it is this insight about the importance of listening that “Japan Sound Portrait” project wishes to share.
With this “Vision and sound” event, participants will be able to visit a series of Japanese landscapes whilst immersed in ambient sounds. The landscapes include the Okunoin Cemetery on Mount Koya, a garden in Kyoto, the entrance to Takeshita Street in Tokyo and a Tokyo alley.
